What I Am Thankful For

thanksgiving, giving thanks, second time around, michael beckerman, the news funnel, funnelcastIt's Thanksgiving, the time of year when we are supposed to give thanks. At home, my wife and I always talk about all the amazing things we appreciate as a family.

I wonder, though, how many people give thanks in a purely professional sense? Maybe if more people did, we would be happier in the workplace? Fantasy? Probably, but I was never one to follow the norm anyway.

So here it goes, my Thanksgiving business thoughts:

First and foremost, I am thankful for the amazing team of professionals who are my teammates at The News Funnel. Their passion, enthusiasm, insane hours and never-ending humor inspire me to work harder and push the envelope as much as I can. I am blessed to be surrounded by an amazing team of people who I not only respect, but who are far smarter and talented than I am. I honestly can't wait to get to work each day, largely based on this team of people.

Secondly, I am thankful for the pioneers. I launched a new website last year and it brings technology to an industry not usually associated with embracing technology. But, there were several people who went out of their way to support our site in the early stages and it made a huge impact.

So thank you Duke Long, Coy Davidson, Jeremy Neuer, Jason Freedman, Jonathan Wasserstrum, Nick Romito, Ally Day, Pierce Neinken, Benjamin Osgood, Danny Shachar, Justin Bedecarre, Dave Lewand, Allen Buchanan, Ben Zises, Chris Clark, Barbi Reuter and many others who believed and supported The News Funnel from day one.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
